Sports Medicine
Many people who suffer from dizziness and imbalance receive physical therapy known as balance rehabilitation, or “vestibular rehabilitation.” Their unreliable vestibular system may result to difficulty and impairment in stabilization and balance, which can significantly debilitate their daily routine.
We generally incorporate habituation exercises for motion intolerance, gaze stabilization exercises, and other independent and dynamic balancing exercises that involve moving and balancing at the same time. Prior to these exercises if patients have positional vertigo or dizziness then we use Frenzel goggles to help during evaluation. We then perform appropriate maneuvers for BPPV treatment.
Chronic Pain Syndrome
Patients who have pain that persists beyond the usual course of healing, with symptoms usually present for over six months typically is treated for chronic pain syndrome. A physical therapist will assess your pain history and assist you in identifying and removing behaviors, providing individualized pain and symptom control which may include relaxation training.
Pediatric Physical Therapy
Your child’s needs are just as important to us as they are to you. Therefore, the PT will provide support to your family as well as instruct and facilitate optimal parental education and training to attain maximal functional goals of your child and family. We offer pediatric therapies such as neurodevelopmental treatment, utilizes motor learning approaches appropriate for your child, and sensory integration techniques designed to facilitate your child’s organization and processing skills, postural responses, environmental awareness, and motor planning.
Yoga and Pilates
Relaxation is a conscious effort to relieve excess tension in muscles. Excess muscle tissue tension can cause pain, which leads to muscle spasm, which in turn produces more pain. To break the pain/ spasm cycle, patients must learn to relax tense muscles, and through proper yoga and Pilates techniques, they can achieve desired success in relaxation as well as improved overall flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination.
Post Surgical
This service is typically for patients who are recovering from surgery and want to return to daily activities, work, or sports. We use an H-wave electric stimulator that decreases swelling and stiffness, and we work with patients to improve range of motion and increase strength using anatomical specific exercises.
Hand and Upper Extremities Therapy Services
We treat a variety of conditions in the shoulder, wrist and hand, such as rotator cuff syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis, and arthritis. , all of which can cause significant pain and difficulty in daily performance of activities. If not treated, irritation may worsen and become chronic pain.
Fortunately, with massage therapy, adequate physical therapy techniques, and chiropractic care, we can successfully alleviate your symptoms and expedite recovery.
Aside from these conditions, we provide rehabilitation for neuromuscular and skeletal injuries ranging from sprains and fractures through healing and teaching stretching and strengthening exercises.
Pre-natal and Post-natal Physical Therapy
Whether you are in your first trimester, third trimester, or even after your pregnancy, our physical therapists will design a treatment that will cater to your body’s needs. We also incorporate massage therapy into your treatments, providing optimal care during your pregnancy months. Relaxing, helps muscles release tension.
Myofascial Release
Fascia is connective tissue covering and connecting muscles, organs, and skeletal structures in our body. Injuries, stress, inflammation, trauma, and poor posture can cause restriction and tightness in the fascia. Using direct and indirect myofascial release,we use trigger point, Grasston, different manual techniques for stretching etc.
